TZATZIKI

Greek Yogurt and Cucumber Dip. Delicious and refreshing

Estimated Prep Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of Greek yogurt
  • 1 cucumber, grated and excess water squeezed out
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh dill, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried dill)
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Recipe Image
  • 1. Prepare the Cucumber: Grate the cucumber and squeeze out the excess water using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels. This step is important to prevent the tzatziki from becoming too watery
  • 2. Mix the Ingredients: In a bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, olive oil, chopped dill, and lemon juice. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated
  • 3. Season: Add salt and pepper to taste. Adjust the seasoning as needed
  • 4. Chill: Cover the bowl and refrigerate the tzatziki for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together
  • 5. Serve: Serve the tzatziki chilled, garnished with a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of fresh dill. It's perfect with pita bread, fresh vegetables, or as a side to grilled meats
